III. MATCH FORMAT, POINT SYSTEM & MATCH FLOW

Matches between guilds are via Round Robin

  • This type of match format will apply in every stage of the tournament from eliminations, server representative, and GRiT Representative Finals.
  • The total points gained by the guild in every phase of the tournament will determine the ranking of each guild and will be the basis for advancement in the tournament ladder.

Point System

  • Points revert to zero whenever the tournament progresses. Ex. Points from the first Elimination round with 8 guilds will not be carried over to the Server Representative round where only the top 4 guilds will advance.
  • Tiebreaker. In the event of a tie, the number of round wins will break the tie for a match or determine the guild ranking for 2 or more tied guilds.
    • The wins indicated in this rule is every round match they won will count as 1 point.
    • Example #1. Team A clean sweeped the 1v1 and 3-man tag team round but Team B won the 5v5 round. The winner for this match will be Team A because they had more accumulated round wins. They had a total of 5 wins (2 from 1v1 and 3 from the 3-man Tag Team) versus the 5v5 guild who only won 1 round.
    • Example #2. When more than 2 guilds are tied in the ranking, these guilds will be ranked a second time based on the total number of wins from all their matches.
  • Teams gain points in every win in each round against other guilds. Below is how points are earned in each round. Click the thumbnail to see the reference image.

Match Flow

  • Round Duration
